Serious Allegations Made Against A Restorationist Editor
Integrity is not negotiable. Even in our most difficult moments, we must hold the people closest to us accountable, even if it shocks us to the core. No compromise with evil. No compromise with the darker secrets hidden away. This spectre came to haunt us this week with devastating consequences.
On Tuesday October 21, a matter involving an editor of The Restorationist was passed to Hampshire police. It was not related to our work, and was of a personal nature after multiple reports were made consistently by separate people. No contributor to this publication was aware of their behaviour, or the extent of it, because it was hidden – until it wasn't. Occasionally, your enemies can be right.
When it became obvious there was no other choice but to formally involve the police, the person was immediately and permanently removed from The Restorationist, and from any form of access or operational control. We immediately prioritised the safety of the people affected and took swift action to ensure no further harm could arise. Retaliation began almost immediately.
These allegations are exceptionally serious, and horrific. At this stage the evidence appears close to irrefutable.
Because the matter is with the police and subjudice, it is not appropriate for staff or contributors to disclose the details or comment on them. Our focus has to be on supporting those who suffered or may be at risk. Our hearts will have to mend themselves as we all ask questions about how we didn't know.
If you have been impacted by this person in any way, we urge you and plead with you to come forward. If you do not feel comfortable contacting The Restorationist, please tell someone you trust. We hear you. We believe you. We stand with you. You will have our absolute and unconditional support.
